Mera Pani Meri Virasat Yojana Online Apply, Eligibility, Registration – The Manohar Lal Khattar government of Haryana has said to give an incentive amount of Rs. 7 thousand per acre to the farmers for taking up alternative cultivation other than paddy during the time of coronavirus infection. For this, the Mera Pani Meri Virasat scheme has been officially launched.
During the time of coronavirus infection, the state government has asked the farmers to give an incentive amount of Rs.7 thousand per acre to the farmers for cultivating alternative crops other than paddy cultivation. Under this scheme, the process of registration has been started by the Haryana Government on the official website of the Agriculture Department.
Mera Pani Meri Virasat Yojana 2024
Amidst the increasing infection of Coronavirus in India, the Manohar Lal Khattar government of Haryana has started Mera Pani Meri Virasat Yojana to encourage farmers to take up alternative farming other than paddy in the state. In the first phase of this scheme, 19 blocks have been included in which the depth of groundwater is more than 40 meters.
Out of these also eight blocks have high paddy transplantation which includes Siwan and Guhla in Kaithal, Sirsa, Ratia in Fatehabad and Shahabad, Ismailabad, Pipli, and Babain in Kurukshetra.
Along with this, in all those areas where tubewell capacity of more than 50 horsepower is being used by the farmers, there are alternative decisions other than paddy like – Maize, Arhar, Moong, Urad, Sesame, Cotton, Vegetable crops. Farmers will be encouraged to sow All cultivable land where groundwater is below 35 meters will not be allowed to cultivate paddy on Panchayati land.
In all these areas, farmers will be provided an incentive amount of Rs. 7 thousand per acre for the production of crops other than paddy by the state government.
Apply for Mera Pani Meri Virasat Yojana before 25th June

The state government, through Mera Pani Meri Virasat Yojana, will be provided the benefit of an incentive amount of seven thousand rupees per acre to the farmers who do vegetable crops except paddy, and all the farmers of the state will get this amount. Those who left paddy cultivation last year had got the benefit of this scheme.
The main objective of starting Mera Pani Meri Virasat Yojana by the state government is to provide benefits to the farmers of the state in this ongoing time.
Objective of Haryana Mera Pani Meri Virasat Yojana
Let us tell you that there are many such places in the state of Haryana where water is not available to the farmers for the cultivation of paddy. In all these places the groundwater level is 40 meters or deeper. In all these places, farmers are being encouraged to sow alternative crops other than paddy cultivation.
For this, Haryana Chief Minister has started a Mera Pani Meri Virasat Yojana. Under this scheme, farmers of the state would be provided an incentive amount at the rate of Rs.7 thousand per acre for sowing of alternative crops other than paddy cultivation.
Benefits of Mera Pani Meri Virasat Yojana
Farmers of Haryana state can take advantage of this scheme.
- Under this scheme, 80 percent subsidy will also be given for micro irrigation and drip irrigation, along with providing agricultural machinery necessary for the cultivation of maize and pulses.
- Under this scheme, cultivation of maize, tur, moong, urad, sesame, cotton and vegetables will be done. These crops will be procured at the base support price.
- Under this scheme, farmers have to register online to get incentives by the state government.
Features of Mera Pani Meri Virasat Scheme
- Through this scheme, farmers in the state have been encouraged to take up alternative farming other than paddy cultivation.
- Haryana will also be provided financial assistance to the farmers by the Manohar Lal Khattar government.
- As a result of the implementation of this scheme, farmers will be encouraged to sow other alternative crops in all those areas where the ground water level is very low.
- Water conservation will be promoted through Mera Pani Meri Virasat Yojana of Haryana Government.
- In the event of sowing of other alternative crops in their fields by the state government, an incentive amount of Rs 7000 per acre will be provided.
- Apart from the 19 blocks identified by the Haryana government, farmers of other blocks will also be able to apply for grant through this scheme.
- Apart from sowing of paddy, all farmers will be encouraged to sow crops like maize, tur, moong, urad, sesame, cotton, vegetables etc.
- A separate portal will soon be launched for application under this scheme in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture.
- Through this scheme, farmers will be able to increase their income by sowing crops other than paddy and also ensure availability of water for future generations.
Incentives under Mera Pani Meri Virasat Scheme
- Under this scheme, a farmer who grows crops like cotton/maize/bajra/vegetables/pulses etc instead of paddy on 50% or more of his total land, will be given an amount of Rs.7,000/- per acre. But this amount will be given only to those farmers who have adopted crop diversification in 50 percent or more area of paddy area (Kharif 2024-20) last year.
- In addition to the above amount, farmers who have adopted crop diversification by cultivating fruit plants and vegetables instead of paddy, will be given a separate grant as per the provision of projects run by the Horticulture Department.
- For those blocks whose ground water level is at a depth of 35 meters or more and where cotton/maize/bajra/vegetable/pulses crops other than paddy have been grown on Panchayati land, the amount will be Rs.7,000/- per acre, which is Rs. Panchayat will be given
- The government will buy the adopted crop like bajra/maize/pulses under this scheme at the minimum support price.
- During maize procurement, machines for drying maize will be installed in the mandis, in order to give fair price to the farmers on the basis of adequate moisture.
- To the farmers, 40 percent subsidy will be given on maize sowing machines in the blocks targeted for sowing.
- Under crop diversification, the sum insured of the crop adopted by the government will be given by the government.
- For setting up minor irrigation plants, farmers with crop diversification will have to pay only GST of the total cost.

- Now enter your Aadhar number. After this, the Application form will open.
- Fill all the information asked in this form and submit it.

- On the homepage of the website, you have to click on the option “Apply for recharge shaft” in the menu. After that a form will open in front of you.
